Are the apartments located within the town?

YES. All Montefelix apartments are located inside the town's walls right in the heart of historic center and at walking distance to everything interesting/useful or beautiful in town. Montepulciano is a small town and while you stay within the town you won't need a car or public transportation.

Is there a parking available nearby?

Yes, although the apartments are located in the historic center, they are easily accessible by car and a free, public parking is generally available nearby. Larger free parking areas are located around the city walls.

Can I access the apartments by car?

Generally yes but note that most of the historic center is a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL) and controlled by cameras. You will be fined if you drive past the cameras at the entrance of the ZTL SO STRCTLY FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS WE WILL PROVIDE.

Do I need a car during my stay in Montepulciano?

YES and NO. If you plan to stay in town you will not need a car as everything is at walking distance (shops, bars, restaurants, sightseeing places) but if you plan to visit the surrounding countryside and other villages in the area you will definitely need to rent a car as public transportation within the small villages is no existent.

How can I come to Montepulciano without a car?

You can come by train stopping at CHIUSI-CHIANCIANO TERME TRAIN STATION and then by bus (30/40 min) or by taxi (30 min, ca. 40 euro). Buses to Montepulciano run from Siena and Florence. We can arrange a transfer from and to the Train Station

Do the apartment come with any service?

The apartments are self catering. They are provided with linen (sanitized by professional laundry), toiletry and some basic cooking ingredients (salt, oil etc.). Extra cleaning is available upon request and has an extra charge. During your stay we will provide assistance regarding the house and your stay. 

Do the apartments have air-conditioning?

No, there is no air-conditioning in the apartments. Note that Montepulciano is one of the highest hilltop town of Tuscany (located at 600 mt above sea level) and usually get breezy and cool evenings/nights even during summer (see the temperature table below). Old building are naturally insulated with double ceilings and thick stone walls. The apartments are also provided with fans.

Very simple! Check first the booking engine on the website if there is any apartment available for the requested dates. You can instantly book.
If you cannot find any accommodation available please contact us us anyway (see the contact page) as we may arrange the bookings and find a possible solution for your need.

Is it the local tourist tax included?

No.The local tourist tax (1 euro per person per day in 2024) is set yearly by the municipality. Any hotel or official vacation rental property just collects the tax on behalf of the municipality and it cannot be invoiced. The amount and conditions of the tax may vary and depends only on the municipality policy.

What is the cancellation policy?

To secure your reservation, a deposit of 30% is required. The remaining balance will be settled upon check-in.

The deposit is non-refundable under the following conditions:

• Booking for 1 to 6 nights: One week notice prior to the check-in date is required.
• Bookings for 7 to 14 days: Two weeks notice is required.
• Stays exceeding 14 nights up to 30 nights: A 30-day notice is required.
• Stays exceeding 30 nights: To be determined (TBD).

We reserve the right to charge the full rental amount and/or provide an alternative accommodation if the stay is shortened or the dates are changed, based on the following notice periods:

• Booking for 1 to 6 nights: One week prior notice is required.

Can I only come for few days?

YES however the minimum stay required is generally two nights and restrictions may apply in high season (May to September - included). Only weekly or longer stays benefit of reduced rate.

Is there a specific check in day?

No, we don't require any specific day.

What is the cancellation policy?

The cancellation policy depend on season and duration of the stay. They are set at the reservation.

Is a long term rental possible?

YES all Montefelix apartments are designed and suitable for extended stay. Montepulciano is the preferred base by many to explore all central Italy destinations. Long term rentals (2+ weeks) benefit of special rates and service.

Are these apartment suitable for family with infants / children?

For Infant YES. Renting an apartment with kitchen facilities offer a good alternative to a traditional hotel accommodation. We also provide a baby cot and highchairs. The apartments however are not much suitable for family with young children as all guests are adult/senior and require silence and relax. Also, we don't have extra bed for children or any playground.

What is the smoking or pet policy?

The apartments are STRICTLY no smoking. PET are sometimes allowed provided they are well educated and the owner provide pet facilities. An additional deposit may be required.

Will I have any assistance during my stay in town?
